Clinical Pathology services:

 

The clinical pathology section of the Laboratory starts with sample collection. To increase patient convenience, the sample collection center is located in the OPD area, adjacent to the Radiology Department.

 

Facilities available in the clinical pathological laboratory are various tests done on Urine, Stool, Sputum, Semen and Blood: 

 

• We have an automated three part differential cell counter on which Hemograms are done with the complete blood counts available in less than 2 minutes. 

 

• ESR, absolute eosinophil count, peripheral blood smears, manual platelet counts are the other tests done on blood. 

 

• For urine & stool routine examination we are equipped with a good microscope, different kind of stains & chemicals and a urine analyzer. 

 

 A feather in our caps is that we are recognised for sputum microscopy under the DOTS programme and the quality of our slides and reporting is verified by this programme.
